When appropriate, book entries include: format and plate number,
author, title, subtitle, statement of responsibility, edition, place
of publication, publisher, date of publication, pagination, size
(height by width), and notes.
Shell entries include: common name of the species, size (height,
width, depth), scientific namegenus and species(the
adoption of the binominal nomenclature system required that all
species be refered to by their genus and species names), author and
date (the name of the person who originally introduced the species
and the year when the proposal was made. In some instances the name
and year may be enclosed in parentheses, indicating that after
publication some alteration to the original classification was
made).

numbered 168, 512, 822, 846, 883, 931, 965, and 990.
The Tabularum anatomicarum explicatio contains
22 plates. This part has no title page but has seven pages of
letterpress explanations. Plate 2 is dated 1693.
The first edition of Listers Historia Conchyliorum
appeared at intervals from 1685 to 1692 and consists of nearly a
thousand unnumbered plates with one or more figures per plate. It is
considered to be the first attempt at a systematic arrangement of
the Mollusca].
