Governor Scott Announces Trade Mission to Chile
Gov. Rick Scott and Enterprise Florida invite Florida businesses to participate in a TEAM Florida trade mission to Santiago, Chile. The mission, scheduled for May 20-23,2013,will feature a business matchmaking program. Fees apply to participate in this mission. Grants covering 100% of registration fees are available through an initiative with the U.S. Small Business Administration. SBA and DOL Launch Self-Employment Assistance Website
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) jointly announced a new website to support state workforce and unemployment agencies in implementing or enhancing Self-Employment Assistance programs. This initiative expands on guidance issued last May, which included $35 million in funding for states to implement or expand these programs made possible through the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012.
