Broward County Parks and Recreation Division announced the schedule for Aquatics Season 2013, at the County’s four water parks: Castaway Island at T.Y. Park in Hollywood, Paradise Cove at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, Splash Adventure at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, and Tropical Splash at Central Broward Regional Park & Stadium, in Lauderhill. It’s All About “Insects” at May’s Nature Tots Program

Broward County’s award-winning Nature Tots program teaches little tykes to appreciate the great outdoors each month. Kids, ages 2 to 4, and their parents can join a park naturalist and learn about nature through stories, songs, arts and crafts, and more. Theme and activities vary each month, and preregistration is required. The theme for May is “Insects.” The program will be held on Tuesday, May 21, at West Lake Park in Hollywood and Thursday, May 23, at Secret Woods Nature Center in Dania Beach. New Program for Aspiring Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses

This series of workshops are for existing and aspiring entrepreneurs. County to Hold Budget Workshops

The Broward County Commission is conducting a series of workshops to review priorities and make recommendations for the Fiscal Year 2014 budget. The workshops will be webcast live on broward.org/Video Central and will culminate with two public hearings.
