Water issues are not new to South Florida. For years we’ve worked to restore the Everglades and sought to better understand the limitations of our water resources.

In the past, our region has taken water for granted. Today, we realize our economic vitality and way of life are linked to water — we realize we must change our ways and assume responsibility for protecting our water resources and providing for the future.

That’s why Broward County is working with the region in developing sustainable water use practices and plans that protect our water resources. We understand that we must work together to create Working Water Solutions.
