The Broward County Southwest Regional Landfill is located at 7201 S.W. 205 Avenue near the intersection of Sheridan Street and U.S. 27. The landfill accepts yard waste, construction and demolition waste, and bulk trash Monday through Saturday and is closed on Sundays and holidays.  

This landfill is designed to minimize any adverse environmental impacts. Great attention is given to landscaping and pollution control.  It is part of an integrated approach to solid waste management which includes two waste-to-energy plants for garbage and a countywide recycling program.
