Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup,
the nation's largest community improvement program, takes place
annually from March 1 through May 31. The Great American Cleanup
involves 3.8 million volunteers and attendees nationally. These
hard-working volunteers donated more than 5.2 million hours last
year to clean, beautify and improve more than 30,700 communities at
over 16,500 events!

Participating in the GAC is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Last year, more than 6,000 volunteers participated in
the Great American Cleanup of Broward County. Help us reach our
goal of adding a thousand more volunteers!
1.
Schedule a Street Cleanup
Adopt-A-Street groups can clean their designated street
during March, April or May. (This cleanup counts toward the
required four cleanups per year.)

Schedule a School Cleanup
Broward County Public and Private School groups can register
to clean up their school grounds during March, April or May.

Volunteer at a Scheduled Event
Great American Cleanup of Broward County kicks off with the
Marine Industries Association of South Florida's Waterway
Cleanup on Saturday, March 10. To register, visit

Join us for our Hollywood Beach Sweeps on Saturday, March 10,
Saturday, April 7, or Saturday, May 12. Call the Litter Hotline
for information and registration.
Help out during Earth Month at our target GAC event on Saturday,
April 14.
Assist in our litter prevention efforts at Fort Lauderdale
Beach on Saturday, April 28 or Sunday, April 29 at the Fort
Lauderdale Air & Sea Show.
Each volunteer that participates in any of our programs during
the Great American Cleanup, March 1 – May 31, will receive a
Great American Cleanup T-Shirt.
