“Take 5 to Stay Alive.”
Take a break from driving and pull off the road to use your cell phone. The Broward Regional EMS Council is joining other entities across the nation to bring awareness to a growing safety concern: the risks of texting and driving. The statistics are clear. Those who text while driving are 23 times more likely to be involved in some type of safety critical event as compared to those who don’t text while driving, according to a study by Virginia Tech Transportation Institute.

Don't become a statistic. “Take 5 to Stay Alive. Don’t Text and Drive."
