Disc Golf Courses
Broward County > Parks > Things To Do > Disc Golf Courses

What do you get when you cross good old-fashioned golf with the sort of flying disc most commonly known as a Frisbee? You get disc golf.

Disc golf may have been invented as long as a century ago, although the modern version of the game started in the late 1960s and has grown to encompass more than 3,000 disc golf courses in the United States and abroad.

Disc golf at Tradewinds Park

Two of those are located in Broward County parks – at Easterlin Park in Oakland Park and at Tradewinds Park & Stables in Coconut Creek. Gamers attempt to traverse an 18-hole course from beginning to end using the fewest disc tosses. The courses are open free to the public, and you have to bring your own gear, although the park offices provide course maps and score cards. For more information, call Easterlin at 954-357-5190 or Tradewinds at 954-357-8870.
