| In-Service Training, at Long Key Nature Center in Davie, involved indoor and outdoor lessons including an overview of South Florida’s natural history, water management, tips on environmentally-friendly landscaping and available resources that can assist with student instruction. |

National Wildlife Federation Habitat Steward Training |

The Habitat Steward Training begins with an introduction to the National Wildlife Federation (NWF)and its programs.

The linear trail at Plantation Preserve is a great field trip location for students and teachers to learn about our native flora and fauna.

|
Habitat Stewards toured West Lake by boat at the Anne Kolb Nature Center in Hollywood.
|
Habitat Stewards participated in a conference call with the NWF to provide feedback in the development of a new curriculum guide for schoolyard habitats.
