My Florida Climate: This Web site presents efforts by the State of Florida to reduce the effects of climate change statewide.

Governor's Action Team on Energy and Climate Change: Following the governor's Serve to Preserve Summit on Global Climate Change in 2007, Florida Department of Environmental Protection began serving as the lead agency for climate change activities.

Phase 1 Report of the Governor's Action Team on Energy and Climate Change: November 2007 (PDF): Pursuant to Executive Order 07-128, this report provides findings and recommendations addressing 11 charges, framed by three principal energy challenges facing Florida: stimulate economic development, achieve energy security and address the effects of global climate change.

Florida Energy & Climate Commission:  This nine member Commission was created by Governor Charlie Crist and the Florida Legislature in the 2008 Legislative session and is the primary organization for state energy and climate change programs and policies.

Florida Energy and Climate Change Action Plan - Phase Two (PDF): October 2008. 50 separate policy recommendations to address climate change in Florida. Cost benefit analysis of recommended policies are included.

Final Florida Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Reference Case Projections 1990-2025 (PDF):  October 2008. This 120 page report was developed by the Center for Climate Strategies for the State of Florida to provide a baseline emissions inventory.

Florida Renewable and Alternative Energy Grants and Incentives: Florida offers a number of incentive programs to encourage development in alternative and renewable energy technologies as well as energy conservation and efficiency, including rebates, grants and other tax incentives. Programs include Solar Rebate Program, Renewable Energy and Energy-Efficient Technologies Grants, Green Government Grants Program, and Renewable Energy Tax Incentives.

Florida Renewable Energy Potential Assessment (PDF): November 2008. Navigant Consultants prepared this report for Florida Public Service Commission, Florida Governor's Energy Office, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.  The study is to examine the technical potential for renewable energy (RE) in Florida, through 2020, and to bound potential RE adoption, under various scenarios.
