Print Sources -- Books

The Reference Section, located on the fifth floor of the Broward County Main Library, has a limited print collection of reference materials on accounting. This collection includes Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and publications of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). Circulating books on accounting are located on the fourth floor of the Broward County Main Library.

Note: Books on accounting are available at most branches of the Broward County Library and are generally classified in the 659 Dewey Decimal section of the library.  Call your local branch library for additional information.

Business and Company Resource Center  provides links to periodical articles on a wide variety of business topics, including accounting. It is accessible from any computer by following these steps:

The mission of the FASB is to establish and improve standards of financial accounting. This website includes FASB news releases and recently-issued FASB documents. Descriptions and prices of all FASB documents are included.

Internal Revenue Service

The IRS website provides a wide variety of information from the Internal Revenue Service, including access to forms and publications. A "Small Business Corner" provides links to tax information which may be helpful for small business.
