As a depository for state documents since 1968, the Broward County Library receives publications of Florida government agencies through the State Library of Florida. Publications include annual reports, budgets, informational brochures, project studies, and technical reports. Bibliographic records of most of the BLG Section’s state documents are included in Broward County Library’s online Library Catalog.
Microfiche Collections
Another source for state documents is the Statistical Reference Index Microfiche Library, from Congressional Information Service. This microfiche collection of statistical documents from all states as well as other organizations (state universities, research institutes, business and professional associations, etc.) includes accompanying indexes and abstracts.

Florida Government Information Locator Service (GILS) - website
site, administered by the Florida Department of State, is a virtual card catalog of Florida state government information available on the internet. The “Government” category provides access to the Florida state telephone directory, state jobs, state agencies, and state legal resources. Other categories of information include “Business”, “Consumer Information”, “Working”, “Education”, “Tourism and Recreation”, “History and Culture”, and “Libraries”.
