The Broward County 365 Food Drive netted 2,143 pounds of food in June and July. The food was donated to the Cooperative Feeding Program/LifeNet4Families non-profit organization. More than 1,400 pounds were collected at Broward County libraries. The 365 Food Drive began in January and has since collected more than 6,775 pounds of food to help families in need living in Broward County. February 2010 Collection
Broward County employees and residents contributed 2,392 pounds of food in January and February for the 365 Food Drive, benefitting Million Meals. First row: Joe Williams, Mike Nagel and Larry Scott, Broward County Facilities Maintenance Division, are part of the team coordinating the yearlong Food Drive. Donation boxes were filled to the brim with baby items, heart healthy snacks and other non-perishable food items. Junior Duckett, Broward County Facilities Maintenance Division, helps load the Million Meals truck with donations.
