Broward County Recycling Program and America Recycles Day

Broward County Government recycles and, best of all, we now recycle using the “All-in-One” container. Most Broward County cities use the “All-in-One” recycling system (single-stream recycling), in which recyclable items don't have to be sorted from one another. The same information pertains to your work environment.

The Broward County Government Recycling Program has collected hundreds of tons of recyclables in fiscal year 2012. From October 2011 to June 2012, approximately 371 tons were recycled at County facilities, generating an average of approximately 500 tons of recyclable materials.

The downtown courthouse, Ron Cochran Public Safety Complex and Markham Park produce the most recyclables based on their total cubic yard capacity and recycling collection frequency. In parks, approximately 41 tons were recycled. The top producing parks are:
