The City of Coconut Creek has several programs including First-Time Homebuyer Purchase Assistance Program, Minor Home Repair Program and Sustainable Home Repair Program.
The City of Coral Springs has Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 (NSP3) funds available to facilitate the purchase and rehabilitation of foreclosed and abandoned properties that might otherwise become sources of abandonment and blight within the community. HUD Community Compass Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Notice of availability of approximately $51 million to fund Community Compass, HUD’s integrated technical assistance and capacity building initiative. Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) - Service Coordinators Program provides grants to public housing agencies (PHAs), tribes/tribally designated housing entities (TDHEs), Resident Associations (RAs), and tax-exempt nonprofit organizations (including grassroots, faith-based and other community-based organizations) for the provision of a Service Coordinator to coordinate supportive services and other activities designed to help Public and Indian housing residents attain economic and housing self-sufficiency. Section 533 Housing Preservation Grant -program which provides qualified public agencies, private nonprofit organizations, which may include but not be limited to Faith-Based and Community Organizations, and other eligible entities grant funds to assist very low- and low-income homeowners in repairing and rehabilitating their homes in rural areas. Broward County and the fifteen (15) entitlement communities receive federal funds annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Program. Enterprise Community partners with other funding organizations and manages local loan funds across the country.
The Florida Community Loan Fund (FCLF) is a non-profit, certified, Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). They provide capital and technical assistance to qualifying non-profit organizations that deal with affordable housing, economic development and essential social services in the urban and rural low-income communities throughout Florida. Florida Housing Finance Corporation is one of the most important financing providers for development of affordable housing in Florida. Applicants interested in applying for funding for the construction or rehabilitation of affordable rental housing through the following programs (Housing Credits, Multifamily Mortgage Revenue Bonds, and HOME Investment Partnership Program) can do so through the Florida Housing Finance Corporation Universal Application Cycle when it becomes available.
Green Refinance Plus is a program offered by U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and Fannie Mae which allows owners of existing affordable rental housing properties to refinance into new mortgages that include funding for energy- and water-saving upgrades, along with other needed property renovations.
The Housing Finance Authority of Broward County, Florida (HFA) provides tax exempt and taxable financing
for the acquisition, construction, and/or rehabilitation of multi-family rental housing projects.
Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF) provides financing for the development, rehabilitation and green retrofit of affordable homeownership and multifamily rental units, including special needs housing. LIIF also invests in housing constructed alongside other community facilities, such as transit-oriented developments and housing co-located with child care centers, in order to build healthy, vibrant communities.
Mercy Loan Fund is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation and was created to provide financing for quality affordable housing. They help finance single family homes and multi-family rental homes for low-income individuals and families, the working poor, seniors, farm workers, formerly homeless individuals and people with special needs.
National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) is an affordable housing production program that complements existing Federal, state and local efforts to increase and preserve the supply of decent, safe, and sanitary affordable housing for extremely low- and very low-income households, including homeless families.
The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) annually provides grant funds to community action agencies, local governments, Indian tribes and non-profit agencies to provide specific program services for low-income families of Florida. These entities provide program services throughout the state.

90 Federal Programs to Provide Affordable Housing – The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) provide federal grants to low-income property owners and eligible mortgagors who provide housing for persons of low to moderate income.
