The Friends is an active volunteer service and fund raising organization of the Museum of Art/Fort Lauderdale dedicated to promote interest in the Museum through cultural activities and special events.

Staff admissions desks, serve as docent aides during exhibitions, coordinate receptions for lectures, sponsor monthly meetings with visiting artists and lecturers, sponsor daylong art tours in southeast Florida for members. Through the Flower Fund, the Friends have provided fresh flowers for the lobby and public areas.
