The Arts Council of Greater Weston entered into an agreement with the City of Weston in September of 2003 to advocate and promote arts and culture events and to review event request for the City. The Arts Council of Greater Weston is an independent, not-for profit corporation 501(c) (3) comprised of 15 elected board members. Performing Arts: Theater, motion pictures, drama, comedy, music, dance, acrobatics, opera and magic. Artists who participate in these arts are called performers, including actors, comedians, singers, dancers, and musicians.

Visual Arts: Include two-dimensional and three-dimensional works of fine, graphic, and applied art: painting, drawing, crafts, sculpture, photography, graphics design, film, video and audio.

Language Arts: Listening, reading, writing and speaking skills in a given language: literature, poetry and public speaking.

Artists Showcase, Student Artist Showcase, Weston ArtWalk & Showtime, Weston Foreign Film Series, Community Arts Calendar, Weston Artists Directory, Weston Moonlight Movies in the Park, Weston Philharmonic Society, Weston Branch Library programs. Our Mission:

- To help our community provide diverse arts and culture events and activities that will place Weston among the pre-eminent South Florida communities.

- To assist existing arts and cultural organizations in their efforts to bring high quality events and programming to enhance the quality of life for all residents and neighboring cities.

- To assist the City in filtering requests to sponsor or provide venues for arts and cultural events.

- To be a liaison between the community, the City of Weston and the Broward County Cultural Affairs Division.

- To raise awareness for the current issues affecting the arts and culture within our community.
