Purpose:
South Florida's most unique art-house theater, programmed and operated by the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, presents the latest American Independent and foreign language films, documentaries, specialty films, mini film festivals red-carpet premieres and celebrity events year-round. The 220-seat charmer offers state-of-the art projection and sound, plush comfortable stadium-style seating, a full concession stand and bar and a covered patio perfect for meeting friends before or after a movie.
Cinema Paradiso is the hub of the local film community. Here, local filmmakers have a venue to showcase their films to the public or in private to investors. Monthly gatherings bring members of the film industry together to network. During the annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, filmmakers, press, investors, celebrities, and movie fans from around the world gather.

Cinema Paradiso is also an important venue for charities, cultural organizations and schools to host fundraisers and events. The building is often donated or offered at a reduced fee to assist the non-profit community in raising the valuable revenue needed for them to continue the service they provide the community.
