Description:
Established in 1927, Flamingo Gardens is one of the oldest botanical gardens and attractions in Florida. The Wray Botanical Collection features over 3000 species of tropical, subtropical, and native plants including some of the largest trees in Florida, and some of the last remaining jungle growth in the area. The Everglades Sanctuary is home to the largest collection of Florida native wildlife. It provides residence to over 90 species of permanently injured or non-releasable native wildlife including alligators, bobcats, eagles, otters, panthers, peacocks, and of course, flamingos. The historical Wray Home Museum depicts a typical South Florida Home of the 1930s.
