Stephanie Krulik is a widely published writer specializing in the arts, personality profiles, health issues and thoroughbred horse racing. Currently working on a non-fiction memoir about two German born, south Florida Holocaust survivors, she gives voice to issues of survival. Her work can be found in numerous newspapers and magazines including, The Cultural Quarterly; Watercolor Magic; American String Teacher; Journal of the Florida Medical Association and The Florida Horse. She is listed in Who’s Who in U.S. Writers, Editors & Poets. Her post graduate courses include seminars in journalism, non-fiction and fiction writing. She is a member of a south Florida based professional writers’ critique group. Stephanie is married to her husband, Gary, a retired Orthopedic Surgeon and is the proud grandmother of Sydney (8) and Joshua (4) Krulik.
Holly Strawbridge
Helene Foster is honored to write for Cultural Quarterly. Her articles have been featured in Cultural Quarterly for nearly a decade as well as in a variety of national and local publications. She loves the arts, especially dance, and has worked in many venues as a theater writer, dance instructor and publicist for non-profits organizations in South Florida. Helene is a freelance writer living in Parkland with her husband Michael and their sons, Evan, 7 and Jacob, 4.
Suzi is a baby-boomer who loves Elvis, John Wayne, and all Ben and Jerry ice cream. She is an avid Gator fan and former long-time resident of Gainesville, Florida. For 32 years, Suzi was a teacher of theatre and a director of plays on the high school level. Her love affair with the arts is an ongoing one. She is the proud parent of a daughter majoring in education at UF, and an equally proud step-parent of two sons. Currently, she is retired from education and lives happily on a mountain in North Georgia with her husband, precious pup Patch, and precocious cat Princess Margaret.
With over ten years of experience under her belt, Galvin has written about a bit of everything. But her passion for the arts has led her to focus on fine art, culinary art, public art and the performing arts. She has written for over 20 local publications, including “CitySmart Magazine,” “Palm Beach Illustrated,” “Capture Life,” “Art of the Times,” “Metromix.com,” “The Sun-Sentinel,” “The New Times,” “The Forum” and elsewhere. This Boca Raton resident was first published at the age of six and has used the power of the pen not only for the media but also for writing screenplays, books, press releases, websites and poetry. This History major, who graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder, included in her studies Art History, which she pursued in part in Italy for five weeks, specializing in medieval art. She is excited to write for The Cultural Quarterly and have a chance to highlight the work of talented local artists. Her right-brained mentality has led her to pursue the creative arts also through acting, taking a lead in numerous local independent films, including some recently shown in local theaters or in production, such as the Sci-Fi spoof “Elixir,” the feature film/ TV series “The Caped Crusaders” and short films “A Life Worth Living,” “Intersect” and “The Delivery…”
Patricia Zeiler has lived in Broward County since 1963 and she has worked in the Arts in South Florida since 1978, while she was still a student at Florida Atlantic University. Teaching music, as well as performing piano and organ filled much of those early professional years. Ms. Zeiler has specialized in Choral Conducting for the last 15 years, leading two choir tours to Italy, where she conducted at St. Peter’s Basilica. She has worked as a stage director for programs at the Miami Beach Convention Center and the Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center. Ms. Zeiler has served as a church director of music since 1980, directing programs with up to 200 volunteer members. Patricia has done graduate work in choral conducting at Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ, and graduate work in theology at Barry University, Miami, FL. Nadine DrewCommunications Specialist Communications &Media Relations Broward County Public Schools Nadine Drew joined Broward County Public Schools in 1995 as Community Relations Specialist for Magnet Programs. Since 1999 she has served as Communications Specialist for the District’s Communications & Media Relations Department, where she interacts with Broward County Public Schools stakeholders to promote District policies, programs and operations in support of student achievement |
