The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Improvements and Renovations Program (FLLAIR) covers a wide range of activities. FLLAIR’s main goal is to provide a better customer experience to the millions of travelers who use the airport.
The Broward County Aviation Department will spend nearly $2 billion over the next five years to improve the terminals, offer more concession options and more destinations choices. The expanded South Runway will keep delays to a minimum by providing added capacity for take-offs and landings.
Funding for these projects will come from:
- Passenger Facility Charges
- Federal and State Grants
- Aviation Department Cash (needs explanation)
- Revenue Bonds
No Broward County tax dollars will be used for these projects or to support the daily operations of the airport.
