photoGroup Tours Educate on Airport Operations

Introduce your students or expose your community group to the dynamic aviation industry through a free group tour at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Your group will have the opportunity to learn all about Airport operations up close and personal from a Broward County Aviation Department official.

Your guide will point out interesting sights and educational facts as your group walks through the various terminals and facilities of the Airport. The tour also includes a hands-on session with a fire truck used exclusively at FLL for emergencies and/or our Broward Sheriff's Office K9 dog unit.

The tour will include information on:
  • Airport history, including its role during World War II
  • Airport safety and security
  • Aviation-related businesses
  • Role of various Airport employees
  • Computers in aviation
  • Public art exhibits
  • Impact of tourism on Broward County

Tours are available by appointment for groups of 5-25 people, ages 7 to adult, and are age appropriate. To schedule a tour, call 954-359-6100, or email to: ContactFLL@Broward.org.
