U-Turn on US 1
US 1 Lane Shift
New U-Turn on US 1
For drivers exiting the Airport for US 1 southbound, there is a new U-turn on US 1 just north of the I-595 interchange. This will allow drivers exiting the airport to travel north on US 1 and make a U-turn at three locations.
1. Just north of the I-595 Interchange
2. SE 30th Street
3. S.R. 84
The ramp to southbound US 1 was closed in July, 2012 so drivers have to travel north on US 1 then make a U-turn to travel south.

US 1 Lane Shift
The three northbound lanes and three southbound lanes of US 1 (Federal Highway) have shifted slightly to the east. All three lanes in each direction (six lanes total) remain open. For safety reasons, the speed limit is reduced to 40 miles-per-hour. This lane shift is just north of Griffin Road.
Traffic is scheduled to shift back to the newly aligned US 1 in June 2013.
In related traffic changes, 10th Street is open to traffic from U.S. 1 east to SE 7th Avenue. Taylor Road is closed permanently.
These traffic changes are due to the construction of the structures over US 1 for the expanded South Runway.
